Police say two young men were killed and a teenage girl was seriously injured in a car accident early Sunday morning.

Devin Flanagan, 19, and Dominic Russo, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene after the crash at the intersection of Progress and Alameda drives, according to police. A 17-year-old girl was airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center.

All three are recent graduates of Strongsville High School, with Flanagan and the teenage girl graduating in the spring.

Police say the accident happened at 6:15 a.m. The three victims were unconscious and trapped in the heavily damaged Toyota Camry when rescue workers arrived and had to extricate them from the vehicle.

When did the Strongsville accident occur?

According to foreign media, the police believe that the teenage girl was driving and her speed caused the accident. The car failed to stop at the end of Progress Drive, went across a business lawn, struck a sign, and then crashed into a building in the Progress Drive Business Park, police told the media.

According to the police, investigation into the accident is ongoing.
